- On Saturdays following closed holidays, and on the first Saturday of every month, the landfills have extended hours until 3:30 p.m. See the "Days of Operation" Calendar below for more information.
- Landfills will be CLOSED for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 23rd.
- Please Note: Even on rainy days, the landfills remain open. During and following wet days, long wait times at the tipping pad may be experienced.

The landfills are closed on Sundays and during the following holidays:

- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Presidents' Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veterans' Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

The Billy Wright and Highway 59 Landfills accept up to four (4) mattresses and box springs from residents for FREE. (*Loads with more than 4 mattresses/box springs will be charged $5 per each additional mattress/box spring.) The regular charge of $5 per mattress still applies to contractors and other businesses. Please make sure to neatly stack each mattress/box spring in the designated mattress area.
(The RWA reserves the right to charge for mattresses not stacked or charge and dispose of mattresses that are heavily soiled or torn.)
