Did you know 84,170 California waste tires were diverted from the waste stream, cut into pieces also known as Tire Derived Aggregate (TDA) and installed around gas collection lines throughout numerous horizontal lines on Phase 6A of the Highway 59 Landfill?

This prevented the use of traditional rock aggregate and allowed RWA to be able to use recycled tire material. This project was funded by a grant from CalRecycle.
